About

At the heart of it all, is the horse

A quiet moment with a horse

Origin story

It started with wanting to understand more.

When a horse becomes lame, identifying where the problem originated is not always straightforward. The idea was simple: What if we could measure what happens beneath the hoof — and better understand changes in the horse's natural movement pattern over time?

While studying electronics engineering, that question led to an idea for measuring beneath the horse's hooves. It became an engineering thesis and later a research project at RISE.

Research and engineering

The foundation for OfHorse.

The engineering and sensor work was then brought together with equine biomechanics and surface research at SLU.

That became the foundation for OfHorse — equine expertise, electronics and measurement.
